Technical Assistance

The NCA staff offers personalized technical assistance on a broad range of issues related to access to parks and recreation including universal design, disability legislation, best practices, and accessibility standards.


NCA’s practitioner-based research focuses on creating fully inclusive recreation environments through the application of effective accessibility solutions. Our research has led to the development of best practices and national standards. We test materials, study visitor preferences, and measure program effectiveness.
